We recommend that this performance part be installed by a qualied

motorcycle technician. If you have any doubts as to your ability to install this

performance part, please consult with your local motorcycle dealer. Read all

instructions rst before starting installation. Make sure the motorcycle and

exhaust system are completely cool before starting the installation. Also,

make sure the bike is secure on a centerstand or ideally a service lift during

installation. Be sure to save all stock components for possible use later.

Installation Instructions

1. Make sure the bike is completely cool before starting the

installation. Make sure the bike is secure on a centerstand

or ideally a service lift.

2. Remove the stock mufer assembly by loosening the

muferclampandthe2mountingbolts(1boltatmufer

top and 1 bolt on stock lower S-Bend).

3. Attach V.A.L.E. Assembly.

Usethe4(four)6x14mmsocketheadcapscrewsand

splitlockwasherstolooselyattachthemufercanister

to the V.A.L.E. tube assembly.

4. Slidethemuferassemblyintothestockmufergasket

andclamp.Donottightenthisclampuntilnalstep.

5. Slip the supplied rubber lined mufer clamp onto the

mufer canisterand loosely attachto the uppermount

behind the rear passenger peg using the stock hardware.

6. Withthenewexhaustassemblyinplace,securelytighten

the4V.A.L.E.socketheadcapscrews,securingtheX-Lite

retaining ring andexhaust tube to the mufer canister,

keepingsurethatthemuferisincorrectalignmentwith

the bike.

7. Securelytightenthemufercanisterclamp.

8. Securelytightenthemuferjointclamptothestockcollector.

9. Install OEM rubber bumper to center stand bracket by

twisting and pushing.
